no.34リプロダクション編 ジャネット・イエレンJanet Yellen on Regulating Bitcoin
こんにちは！本日もリスニング日和ですね
今回のリスニング日和は、米国の中央銀行にあたるＦＲＢ連邦準備制度理事会Federal Reserve Boardで女性初の議長chairを務め、バイデン政権でやはり女性初の財務長官Treasury Secretaryに就任したジャネット・イエレンさんです。ＦＲＢの親指姫（似てませんかね？）が、議長に就任した2014年の議会証言で、ビットコインなどの仮想通貨の監督について述べています。ＦＲＢ議長の英語は小難しく早口なことが多いのですが、この方は割と分かりやすい構文で、発音も明確ですので、リスニング訓練にぴったりです。がんばってください！
構文を直観的に理解し英語を頭ごなしに解釈できるようになったら、ネイティブ感覚のリスニング力もすぐそこ。スピーキングの力も伸ばせる練習です。

今回は冒頭から1分10秒程度の音声を使って練習します。
①Warming-up Shadowing
スクリプトは見ないでシャドーイング。録音は不要。 英語音声を再生し、聞こえてきた音をしっかり声を出して正確に発音する。激しい運動の前の準備体操です。
②Short Reproduction
まずは文章を短く切ってリプロダクションをしましょう。必要ならスクリプトを確認しながら。録音は不要です。
・ネイティブ英語音声を/のところまで再生し、聞こえた英語をしっかり発声してリピートする。
・一語一句同じでなくても、意味が同じなら別の表現を使ってもよいが、自分のスピーキングが正しい文法になっているか自信がない場合は一語一句同じ表現を使うことをオススメします。
・スクリプトはなるべく見ない。何と言ったか忘れたら、もう1度音声を再生して確かめる。（それでもだめなら、スクリプトをチラ見して確認する程度にする。） まずは、この程度の短さでリプロダクションに挑戦しましょう。
